A diver has been rescued after getting into difficulty off the Norfolk coast.

Mundesley's inshore lifeboat crew braved strong winds this afternoon to reach a dive boat which had broken down seven nautical miles north east of Bacton.

One person was aboard the boat, but another diver was around 300 metres away from the vessel in the sea.

The lifeboat crew managed to find the diver and bring him back to his partner.

Cromer Lifeboat was also sent to the incident and provided a tow for the dive boat.

It returned the vessel to the beach at Sea Palling along with Mundesley Lifeboat.

Humber Coastguard initially called Mundesley Lifeboat at around 11.40am to provide a communications link with the broken down vessel.
