The heroism and bravery of the men and women involved in the D-Day landings will be commemorated at events across north Norfolk.
Cromer is planning to have a service with the laying of wreaths on the day of the 75th anniversary - Thursday, June 6 - while North Walsham will hold a commemoration with vintage vehicles and displays on Sunday, June 9.
Rob Scammell, one of the organisers of the North Walsham event, said it would take place from 11am to 4pm in Church Street - which would be closed - and there would be things to see and do throughout the day.
He said: "This will be a commemoration of D-Day.
"We'll hopefully have the air force and army cadets involved and there will also be musicians playing wartime songs at the White Swan pub.
"The cost of the event is small but it's being funded by some local well-wishers."
Re-enctors from the Memory Lane Living History Group will put on a display using vintage firearms, and there will also be a family history section where visitors may be able to find out if they have any personal links to D-Day.

One of the re-enactors, Gordon Cannell, from North Walsham, will be there with his 1944 Jeep, which itself saw action in the Second World War.
In Cromer, there will be a vigil from 7.26am - the time the first British soldier set foot on Gold Beach - to midday, when there will be a short service led by Rev Will Warren followed by a laying of D-Day 75 wreaths.
Hilary Cox, event organiser, said: "Everyone involved are particularly excited as we are being joined by a D-Day veteran from the Royal British Legion's Halsey House here in Cromer".
Town Clerk, Julie Chance said, "Cromer Church, the Royal British Legion and Cromer Town Council all worked together so well during the centenary of World War One and this event is another example of the three groups continuing to acknowledge and honour the lives lost in conflict".
