Cristina Magda-Calancea, known as Ky-Ky, died after she suffered multiple wounds at her home in Fenland Road, King's Lynn, on October 21.

Gediminas Jasinskas, 29, of Tennyson Avenue, Lynn, has been charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon.

In just six days 196 well wishers have raised £6190 on the gofundme page set up by one of her brother, Razvan Milea in her memory.

Close friend Michaela Anda said: 'When I saw that our target has been exceeded I started crying straight away.

'Her brothers think it's amazing, we weren't expecting to raise this amount in six days and I think it is new for this area too, all the community have been amazing.'

The family were shocked to see that they had beaten their £5,000 goal overnight after one well wisher had donated £1,000.

Miss Anda said: 'Currently we are still running events to raise money because we never thought the amount would be raised so quick.

'We have a charity football match this Saturday, October 6, in Spalding, there will be friends, colleagues and family members of Cristina. This will probably be our last activity.

'At the moment we don't know exactly when we will be able to take her back to Romania due to the investigation.'

A week after factory worker Miss Magda-Calancea's death more than 50 people attended a memorial at her home, to commemorate the 'happy and smiley' young woman.

Her brothers, Sebastian Milea, 40, and Razvan Milea, 31, both from King's Lynn, said they were left in disbelief when police knocked on their doors with news of her death. Sebastian, of Hillington Square, said: 'We still can't believe it, we think about it a lot.'

Razvan, of Harecroft Gardens, added: 'All I want to know is - why? That is all I want to know.'

'She just started a new life.' Sebastian said. 'She was a strong person and she was extremely happy, she had a specific laugh.

'She was never sad, everywhere she went it was always hearts and butterflies.'
