A woman has found a 50-year-old crisp packet on Caister beach.
Council worker, Kerry Hemsworth, was walking on the beach on Saturday morning when she noticed something odd lying in the sand.
She said: “I looked down and thought, that looks unusual, it must be old.
“When I looked at it I couldn’t believe it was from 1967.”
The curious item was a packet of ready salted Golden Crisps and on the reverse of the packet were the details of a competition - with the closing date for entries in June, 1967.
Mrs Hemsworth said: “You could win prizes like a Triumph estate car, a four-berth caravan, a speedboat, fishing tackle, sun loungers.
“I don’t know what I’m going to do with it. I’m a crispaholic, but I don’t want empty packets, I want full packets.
“Somebody said it was worth something but who knows. It’s a bit of history isn’t it.
