A woman has been handed a two-year order banning her from parts of Norwich city centre, because of her persistent anti-social behaviour offences.

Sharon O'Hara, 47, of Barnards Yard in Norwich, appeared before magistrates in Norwich on Thursday charged with breaching the conditions of a community protection notice issued in October last year.

Magistrates imposed a two-year criminal behaviour order, which bans O'Hara from a number of places in the city centre.

She must not enter the area of the Haymarket (bordered by Gaol Hill, Gentleman's Walk, Haymarket, Brigg Street, Rampant Horse Street, Theatre Street, Millennium Plain and St Peters Street) except to go to the soup run between the hours of 7pm to 9pm each day.

She is also banned from entering the area of St Gregory's Green (the area bordered by Pottergate, St John Maddermarket, Charing Cross, St Benedict's Street, St Gregory's Alley and any unnamed footpaths around.

She will also breach the order if she is drunk or in possession of an open or opened container of alcohol in Norwich, as defined by the inner ring road, except within the area of Barnards Yard in Norwich.

The order would also be breached if she acts in a way that causes nuisance, annoyance, distress or alarm to members of the public.
