Pet owners are being warned on social media about vehicles which are believed to be linked with dog thefts in Cambridgeshire.

It claims a white Nissan Nevera Pick up and a white van have been seen near addresses from which pets have been stolen in Ely, Huntingdon and St Neots, adding: “Please keep your babies safe.”

Police say locking doors and making sure pets are never left tied-up unattended outside shops can help make them less vulnerable to thieves. Animals should also be micro-chipped so their owners can be traced.
