‘As if this wasn’t dangerous enough’ - van driver stopped in Lowestoft for using mobile phone had also taken drugs

A van driver who was stopped for using his mobile phone had also taken drugs, police revealed.

The vehicle was stopped in Lowestoft on Sunday (February 11) morning after the driver was seen using his mobile phone.

But following a roadside drugs test, the driver was also found to have cannabis in his system.

Following the stop, Norfolk and Suffolk Roads Policing team tweeted: “Driver of a van stopped in #Lowestoft using his mobile phone this morning. As if this wasn’t dangerous enough he also tested positive for cannabis and had some in his pocket #Fatal4 #1826/337”.
