Two women who were arrested after a man was injured in a suspected stabbing have been released on bail.

Several police cars were called to a house in Allwood Avenue, Scarning, on the outskirts of Dereham, at about 8pm on Sunday and a cordon was put in place.

Two women were arrested and a man was taken to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for treatment, although his injuries were not thought to be serious.

A spokesman for Norfolk police confirmed on Tuesday morning that the women have been released on bail to return to Wymondham Police Station on July 13.
