Two men have been arrested after a police car was rammed in the King’s Lynn area by a car that failed to stop in the early hours of Saturday.

Police attempted to stop a Ford Ranger on the A149 King’s Lynn bypass but when it failed to pull over a pursuit followed that led to the A148 in Hillington.

During the pursuit, a police vehicle was rammed by the Ford Ranger, which caused some damage to police vehicle but fortunately no officers were injured.

After fleeing the vehicle the two men were arrested shortly afterwards following a search that involved assistance from the dog unit.

Two men, aged in their twenties, were arrested for a number of driving offences, trespass and assault. Both have been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
