Travellers have moved on from the car park of Bawburgh Village Hall.

Norfolk police had served a writ yesterday to evict the trespassers, with a deadline that they must leave the Stocks Hill address by 9am today.

Police confirmed this morning that they had moved on.

Bawburgh Parish Council chairman David Goodman had said the group arrived around at around 8.20pm on Sunday, June 10.

It comes as a group of travellers set up camp on land at Longwater and then next to the Roundwell Monument in Costessey last week.

Mr Goodman said it had been an 'enormous frustration' to the parish council, which owns the village hall.

The travellers at the village hall car park did not wish to comment.
