Police in Sprowston are appealing for witnesses after thieves broke into a Citroen Xsara while a woman was walking her dog in Catton Park.
The theft happened at about 4.30pm on Tuesday.
Thieves smashed the passenger window and grabbed a handbag which had been left on the front seat.
A man and woman, aged in their 20s and walking a grey medium sized dog, were seen in the area around the time of the theft and officers believe they may hold important information and would like to speak with them.
