According to Home Office data, there were more than 3,000 crimes recorded in the Norwich area in the first two months of 2018.

They included at least 313 incidents of theft, 375 of shoplifting, and 216 public order offences.

But the most commonly reported crime has been violence or sexual offences, with at least 878 incidents during January and February.
