Sculthorpe Moore Nature Reserve, run by more than 100 volunteers, fell victim to two vandals in the early hours of March 16.

A storage hut where equipment is kept by the volunteers was vandalised, and as yet the full list of what has been taken has not been confirmed.

The thieves returned twice in the same night, wearing hoodies over the heads and avoiding areas of the reserve where newer cameras are placed.

“We can’t describe what we felt when we saw the destruction,” said CEO Adrian Blumfield.

“We have a lot of people that give their time to make things for the community. There’s can be no money in what they’ve stolen, it’s just petty vandalism,” Mr Blumfield continued.

Police are currently investigating the damage and are asking anyone with information to contact 101.
