Man taken to hospital after being assaulted by three men in Norwich car park

Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault in a Norwich car park last night.

The victim had approached a group of three men after smelling smoke in the RCP car park in Mountergate at 7.50pm.

Following an altercation, the men assaulted the victim causing bruising to his body and cuts to this face.

He was taken to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital where he was treated for his injuries.

A police cordon was put in place while initial enquiries took place, which has since been removed.
