The goat was reportedly spotted in the area last night and on Sunday afternoon.

Peter Rounce said: 'I saw the goat that had escaped last night. It was in the road in Wiveton at 10:20pm.'

On Sunday, at 5.30pm, Mr Rounce said he had seen the goat 'closer to Blakeney on the same road'.

PC Jon Parker posted on social media in the evening of Saturday, January 19: 'Do you live in Blakeney?

'Do you own a goat?

'Has your goat escaped tonight?'

In the tweet, shared at 9.06pm, he added: 'That is the incident I am currently responding to. (No I'm not kidding).

'A loose goat with 'large horns' has been seen on the roads in and around Blakeney.'

On Sunday, January 20, PC Parker added: 'My crew partner and I had a good look around but didn't find it.

'[There were] no other calls to police about it and the incident was closed. The reason for police response was proximity to the A149.'
