Police have detained one person after they were seen throwing fireworks into a hotel lobby.

No one was injured in the incident but one person has been detained for arson.

On Twitter Breckland police said: 'Throwing fireworks into a hotel lobby is never going to be a good idea. No one injured and good investigation by #ThetfordTeam3, resulting in one detained for Arson.'

The tweet followed an earlier one saying that officers in Attleborough had stopped two vehicles in the town, both of which had been found to be running on red diesel.

'#AttleboroughSNT officers stopped two vehicles earlier in town. Both fuel tanks dipped which confirmed both running on red diesel. Details of drivers forwarded to HMRC. Driver of one vehicle also issued a #TOR for an expired MOT.'
