Drugs, cash and a machete have been seized as police made 11 arrests during a week of action against county line drug networks in Norwich and Great Yarmouth.

From March 19, nine warrants were executed, co-ordinated by the Eastern Region Special Operations Unit (ERSOU) with officers from Norfolk Police, the regional disruption team, the National Crime Agency, and other partner agencies.

Officers stopped a car on Devonshire Road in Great Yarmouth at approximately on March 20 and seized a quantity of what is believed to be Class A drugs and a large machete, making three arrests.

On March 21 a man was stopped in St Georges Road in Great Yarmouth and officers seized a quantity of Class A drugs, cannabis and cash.

Meanwhile in Norwich, officers attended a property on Grove Road on March 21 and seized a quantity of what is believed to be a Class A drug, a mobile phone and cash.

Two people, a 49-year-old man from Norwich and a 17-year-old boy from Leicester, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug.

A further five people were arrested when officers issued a warrant at an address in Lefroy Road, Norwich on March 22.

A large quantity of Class A drugs was seized at the property.

A 20-year-old man from Surrey, a 22-year-old man from Surrey, a 37-year-old man from Norwich and a 40-year-old man from Norwich, were all arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug.

A 34-year-old woman from Norwich was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug.

All five have since been released under investigation.

In another incident, officers stopped a man in Grove Road in Norwich and seized a quantity of Class A drugs, cash and a mobile phone.

A 17-year-old boy from the Leicester was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug. He was later released under investigation.

Meanwhile officers arrested a man on Surrey Street in Norwich at approximately 3.50pm on March 22 and seized a quantity of what is believed to be Class A drugs.

ERSOU Detective Superintendent Bernie Morgan said they are 'committed to taking strong action' against county lines and will continue to ensure their response is 'robust'.

Charged

Denzel Maposa, aged 19 and of no fixed address, has been charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug, one count of possessing a knife and one count of possession of cannabis.

Jordan Hunte-Anson, aged 18 and from Luton, has been charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug and one count of possessing a knife.

Bradley Mugova, aged 21 and from Essex, has been charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug and one count of possession of cannabis.

John Abodunrin, aged 25 and from the London area, has been charged with possession with intent to supply a Class A drug and one count of being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug.
