Police appeal over alleged assault as teenage girl tripped up by man in Sprowston

A teenage girl was tripped up as she walked home.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened at 8.20pm on Tuesday. The 17-year-old girl was walking along an alleyway between Wroxham Road and Church Lane while listening to music on headphones.

A man ran past her before turning around and running back towards her, tripping her up in the process. He was white, 5ft 5ins tall, of average build and clean shaven, and ran off towards Wroxham Road. He wore a black zip-up jacket with a yellow mark near the collar and dark jeans.
