Police are investigating three arsons in Gorleston overnight.

A hedge was set alight at a property in Veronica Green between 11pm and 11.15pm.

Officers were then alerted to a second fire to a tree in Catalpa Way at around 11.30pm before being alerted to a moped that had been set alight, also in Catalpa Way, just after midnight.

Inspector Craig Miller said: 'Due to the proximity and timing of these arson incidents officers are linking them. We are working closely with the fire service as our enquiries continue and officers from the Safer Neighbourhood Team will be visiting people living in the area today to offer them reassurance.

'I would urge anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the Veronica Way and Catalpa Way areas late last night to contact police.'

Anyone with information should contact Norfolk Constabulary on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
