Two men arrested in connection with the death of a Downham Market man in 2010 have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

The men, in their 40s and 50s and from the King’s Lynn and Downham Market areas respectively, were arrested on April 17 in relation to the death of Jan Hogan and questioned at Wymondham Police Investigation Centre.

Mr Hogan’s body was found in his Basil Drive flat on May 23 2010 and while the incident was investigated at the time, the coroner recorded his death as an open verdict in 2011. Further lines of enquiry led to the recent arrests.

Det Insp Stuart Chapman, from Norfolk and Suffolk Major Investigation Team, said: “We continue to follow a number of lines of enquiry concerning Mr Hogan’s death. I would appeal to anyone who has information regarding this – no matter how insignificant it may seem or even if you have spoken to or called us before – to come forward.”
