Man arrested for possession of baseball bat

A man has been charged with a public order offence for the possession of a baseball bat after he claimed he was going out to play a game at night despite no ball or other players.
King’s Lynn police arrested the man on the Fairstead Estate at around 10pm on Friday night.
They tweeted saying: “Suspect stated he was going out to play a game of baseball tonight!!!!!”
He was later charged with a Section Four Public Order (threatening behaviour) offence.
In Downham Market a man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving after failing a roadside breathe test at 1am on Saturday morning.
He later provided a reading of 96 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath - the legal limit is 35.
Police said he was at King’s Lynn custody and would be charged later that day.
