Worst case of hide and seek! Wanted man holds cardboard in front of face to avoid police detection

As attempts to avoid police detection go, it is not perhaps the most sophisticated.

Whereas some people wanting to avoid officers might go to great lengths to hide or even disguise themselves, one person wanted by King’s Lynn police for failing to appear thought holding a piece of cardboard over his head would do the trick.

Sadly it didn’t work, although officers later took to Twitter on Friday, March 2 evening to say it had given them a moment of amusement in a week in which the Beast from East has kept them busy and working in tricky conditions.

King’s Lynn Police Tweeted: “Had to laugh tonight. Male who was wanted for failing to appear thought that holding a piece of cardboard over his face would prevent cops from noticing him! #WorstCaseOfHide&Seek.”
