A man has appeared in court charged with murder following the death of a man at a block of flats in Norwich.
Kristian Tarragan, 31, of Suffolk Square, Norwich, appeared before city magistrates via videolink yesterday and was remanded in custody to appear at Norwich Crown Court this morning.
Tarragan is accused of the murder of 50-year-old Lee Tingle, who died from a stab wound in Suffolk Square on Sunday night.
Wearing a black jumper, Tarragan did not enter a plea during yesterday's brief hearing at Norwich Magistrates' Court.
He spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth, and that he understood what was happening.
A second man, a 44-year-old from Norwich, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, has been bailed until January 11, pending further inquiries.
A Home Office post-mortem examination revealed Mr Tingle died as a result of a single stab wound.
