Man snatched money from till at Sainsbury’s in Hunstanton

Police are hunting a store thief who snatched cash from a till before escaping on a bike.

He struck at Sainsbury’s in Westgate, Hunstanton, at around 6.30pm on Tuesday, May 16.

Insp John Bane, from Hunstanton police, said: “A male customer was being served when he reached over and snatched money from the till drawer.

“He then ran from the store getting onto a bicycle nearby. He is described as male, in his mid 20s about 5ft 10ins tall.”

It is not yet known how much money was taken in the raid. The store is open as normal today.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to call them. Anyone with information should call Hunstanton police on 101.
