A man has been remanded in custody after having his pig untethered on Prince of Wales Road in Norwich.
A man is due to appear in court after having a pig untethered in Norwich.
It follows an incident where a man was shouting and screaming at members of the public on Prince of Wales Road.
Police officers attended and one of the officers was bitten by the man's dog which had been running about.
A pig was also found at the scene.
Thomas Murphy-Hankin, 26, of no-fixed address, was arrested following the incident, which happened at just after 10am on Wednesday (August 8).
He has been charged with a public order offence, having a dog dangerously out of control in a public place and a further offence under section 155 of the Highways Act 1980 of having a pig untethered and loose on a public highway.
He is due to appear at Norwich Magistrates Court later today.
Sergeant Mark Shepherd, community sergeant for the Norwich East Safer Neighbourhood Team, took to social media following the incident.
He tweeted: 'A male has been remanded in custody after committing a public order offence, having his dogs dangerously out of control and having his pig untethered on #PrinceOfWalesRd #Noriwch #Policing @NorfolkPolice @NorwichPoliceUK #JobLikeNoOther.'
