A man has been arrested and appeared in court after police were called to concerns about an animal - and discovered loaded firearms, ammunition and cannabis plants.
Police, accompanied by RSPCA officers, went a site at Mangreen Lane in Keswick yesterday to carry out a warrant following concerns in relation to the Animal Welfare Act.
They went at 9am, but their enquiries led them to a property, where a number of cannabis plants were seized, as well as loaded firearms and ammunition.
Leo Price, 25, of Mangreen Lane, Keswick, was arrested and taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
He was subsequently charged with possession of ammunition, two counts of possession of a firearm, without holding a certificate, and producing a Class B drug, namely cannabis.
Following an appearance before Magistrates Court this morning, he has been released on bail to appear at Norwich Crown Court on July 10.
