Police have charged a man who allegedly threatened a seaside pub's staff members with a knife.

Fernando Caceres Rodriguez of Runton Road in Cromer has been charged with public order offences and possession of a knife in a public place in connection to the incident, which happened at the town's Red Lion Hotel in Tucker Street.

Officers arrested Rodriguez yesterday (March 5) just hours after releasing CCTV images in a public appeal. Following his arrest, he was taken to Aylsham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

The incident happened around 6.30pm on Saturday, February 9, when police were called to the Red Lion after reports of a man threatening members of staff.

Rodriguez has been bailed to appear at Norwich Magistrates' Court on Friday, April 5.
