Man charged in connection with robbery from teenager

A man has been charged with robbery after a teenager was pushed off his bicycle.

The 17-year-old was cycling with a friend along Millennium Way in Lowestoft about 6.30pm on Wednesday, April 24 when he was approached by a man who allegedly knocked him off his bike.

The unknown offender is then accused of pulling a bag from the victim before trying to take his bike.

However, a member of public intervened and the bag was retrieved from the man.

A police spokesman said: "Toby Mullholland, 33, and of no fixed abode was charged with robbery yesterday (Thursday, June 6) and was remanded to appear before Norwich magistrates court this morning (Friday, June 7).
