A 35-year-old man arrested after a man was threatened with an axe in a Norwich park has been charged.
Joseph Marsh, of St Martin's Road in Norwich, has been charged with possessing a bladed article, a hand axe, on July 17.
It came after the incident, which saw officers attend Wensum Park just after 1pm on Tuesday, July 17 after reports that a man had been threatened with an axe.
Enquiries led to police arresting a man in St Martin's Road, where the axe was seized.
Marsh has been released on bail to appear before Norwich Magistrates Court on Friday, August 17.
