A man has been arrested after being found in a car with false polish number plates.

Traffic officers swooped on the A47 at Narborough, between King’s Lynn and Swaffham, after reports of hare coursing at West Acre.

After stopping the Subaru 4x4 heading west bound, opposite Bradmoor Lakes, they found it had fake registration plates attached over its real number.

A police spokesman said: “The driver was dealt with at the roadside and reported for offences of displaying false plates and driving with no insurance. The vehicle was seized.

“The driver, a 28-year-old man, was arrested for causing an obstruction in the highway after walking in the middle of the road. The man was taken to King’s Lynn Police Investigation Centre where he remains in custody.”
