Police have seized a baseball bat and cannabis after a disturbance in King’s Lynn.

A man was arrested after officers pulled over a car in the town in the early hours.

One tweeted: “Male arrested at 01:30hrs after reports of a disturbance in the town. Stopped driving his vehicle after leaving the location.

“Arrested for drug drive, possession of cannabis and possession of an offensive weapon.”

The man has been taken to the King’s Lynn police investigation centre.

Earlier this week, a man was arrested after being found in possession of an axe, cannabis and ecstasy tablets in the town centre.

Recent weeks have also seen a man arrested carrying a hammer he said was for his own protection, and a man armed with a baseball bat.
