A man has appeared in court following a knife attack, which happened on Great Yarmouth seafront.

Reece Ellis, 25, of no fixed address, appeared at Norwich Crown Court via a video link from prison.

No charges or pleas were put during the brief hearing.

Judge Katharine Moore adjourned his case for a further hearing which was fixed for May 4.

Ellis was remanded in custody.

Ellis was arrested along with two women in February, following an incident in the early hours in Marine Parade, Great Yarmouth, in which another man in his 20s suffered stab wounds.

Ellis was subsequently charged with wounding with intent and being in possession of a knife.

The victim of the stabbing was taken to hospital and was later transferred to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge, for treatment.

The two women have since been released while police enquiries continue.
