A driver has been charged following a pursuit in King’s Lynn.

They have been charged with careless driving, failing to stop for police, driving without a licence and having no insurance.

The vehicle, a Ford Transit van, failed to stop for police at around 3.40am on Thursday, July 26 in Vancouver Avenue.

Police pursed them into the estate where the driver attempted to flee.

A dog unit was called to the scene and located the driver hiding nearby.

A Twitter post from King’s Lynn Police said: “Driver has now been charged to court for careless driving, failing to stop for police, no licence and no insurance.

“Vehicle failed to stop for officers at 03:40hrs on Vancouver Avenue, pursued into the estate and decamped on a nearby street.

“@NSPoliceDogs were quickly on scene and located the driver hiding nearby. One arrested for fail to stop, dangerous driving and no licence #PC710 #PC1835.”
