• A con woman who tricked her way into a string of elderly people's homes in Norfolk and Suffolk to steal valuables and items of sentimental value was jailed for six years.

Tracey Parker-Smith, 33, of London Road, Downham Market, was described by a judge as a 'thoroughly dishonest individual' who deliberately targeted elderly vulnerable people to steal whatever she could from their homes in a 14-day 'frenzy' of distraction burglaries.

• A thief involved in two 'professional' gangs which stripped lead worth more than £100,000 from roofs of rural Norfolk churches was jailed for five years and one month.

Remus Tudorache, 27, from Roland Avenue, Coventry, admitted involvement in a gang behind a string lead thefts in 2015 but was also part of another gang, which was operating this year until it was smashed when police arrested four members after a chase, near Wisbech.

• A man who punched a woman in Norwich leaving her needing three metal plates in her fractured jaw was given a seven-and-a-half-year extended sentence by a judge who said he posed a 'danger' to women.

Malaki Morgan, 30, of Waddington Street, Norwich, punched model-agency worker Charlotte Steven, 21, to the floor in Adelaide Street in the early hours leaving her unconscious, Norwich Crown Court heard. He admitted causing grievous bodily harm.

• A trusted book keeper who 'systematically' stole about £145,000 from a popular sewing and craft shop based at Taverham nursery and country shopping centre was jailed for two years.

Samantha Harris, 42, Harris of Eastgate, Cawston, was treated as a friend by company director of Sew Simple, Sally Dye but Norwich Crown Court heard how she and her colleagues were left 'shocked and upset' to discover Harris was stealing from the business, over a seven year period. Harris admitted stealing £125,000 to £145,000 between June 2010 and June 2017.

• A man deliberately drove his Audi at three men as they crossed a city centre street, throwing one of them into air and leaving him with life-changing injuries, a court heard.

Ricky Sutton, 30, of Civic Gardens, Norwich, was jailed for 11 years after Norwich Crown Court was told he used the car 'as a weapon' because he felt he was the victim in a previous confrontation.

• A 17 year-old moped rider was left lying in the road badly injured after being struck by a driver using his mobile phone at the wheel, a court heard.

Adam Burroughs, 43, of The Loke, Norwich, failed to notice the victim riding a Honda moped on the A47, at Trowse, as he was more interested in using his phone, Norwich Crown Court heard. He was jailed for 21 months and given a 34 month driving ban.
