Here is our monthly look back at some of the criminals jailed in Norfolk courts in July.

•Kristian Tarragan was jailed for eight years after admitting to the manslaughter of former friend Lee Tingle who he stabbed in the heart.

On jailing him Judge Bate said: 'You were no stranger to petty violence. I do not regard you as a high enough risk to the wider public to qualify for an extended sentence under the dangerous offender legislation.'

•Four members of a drugs gang involved in bringing tens of thousands of pounds worth of heroin from Liverpool to sell on the streets of Norwich, were jailed for more than 20 years.

Matthew Kelleher was jailed for four years, Andrew Leivaa-Bernal for eight years, Kinoosh Sephrin for three years and four months and Nathan Marsh for five years and four months.

•Benjamin Matthews was jailed for 876 days after breaking into the home of a woman in Norwich as she slept.

On jailing him Recorder David Pugh said: 'The victim of this crime was at home at the time and it is clear from her victim personal statement that the effect on her has been significant.'

•Two professional conmen were jailed after they swindled a family jewellery businesses in Norwich out of more than £35,000.Andrej Guidima and Vlas Vasile were each jailed for two years and could both be deported to Russia after serving their sentences. •Bryan Waldron was jailed for four years for a series of sex offences including distributing and possessing indecent images and inciting girls to engage in sexual activity.

He pleaded guilty to 10 offences in total- three counts of possessing an indecent image, distributing an indecent image, four counts of inciting a girl to engage in sexual activity and two counts of inciting a girl to engage in pornography.
