Trial of two teenagers due to take place in April

The trial of two teenagers accused of offences including kidnap and robbery is due to take place in April.

Before Ipswich Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing were Munsey Varnadore, 19, of St Edmundsbury Road, King’s Lynn, and a 17-year-old youth from Ipswich who cannot be named because of his age.

They both denied offences of aggravated vehicle taking and kidnapping on December 8 last year.

The 17-year-old also denied robbery and having a knife in Tower Ramparts bus station in Ipswich on December 6, two offences of aggravated vehicle taking on December 8 and possessing cannabis and possessing a prohibited weapon on December 9.

Varnadore also denied assault by beating, having a knife in Tacket Street, Ipswich, and aggravated vehicle taking on December 8.

They were remanded in custody.
