The inquest into the death of a seven-week-old baby from Sprowston has been adjourned while further information is gathered.

Lyle Riley was found unresponsive in his parents bed at home on Sunday, February 4 and was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The inquest opened on Tuesday, September 18, but was adjourned while the coroner awaits further information for Norwich Crown Court.

Norfolk Coroner Jacqueline Lake has listed a further review for Tuesday, October 2.

Earlier this year, Lyle's parents Jessica Lindsay, 30, and Shane Riley, 37, of Avocet Rise, appeared at Norwich Crown Court and were jailed for 16 months after admitting to charges of child neglect.

The court heard how Lyle had died from suffocation after his parents found his lifeless body in their bed in the morning after tests revealed they had been drinking and had taken cocaine prior to going to bed.
