Staff at a Tesco store in Norfolk have been praised for alerting police to a suspected drink driver.

Officers were called by staff at the store on Hardwick Road in King’s Lynn following concerns about a driver.

Their tip-off enabled police to locate the man, who was then arrested for a string of offences.

In a Twitter post, King’s Lynn Police said the driver provided a positive sample, had no insurance, was driving without a licence and had taken the vehicle without consent.

Elsewhere in the county, Norfolk Police’s special officers said they “stumbled” upon someone in possession of class A and B drugs while searching for a wanted man.
