Schools in and around Great Yarmouth have had lead stolen from their roofs.

Police are now appealing for information after the four schools were hit in the last month, with the most recent being targeted this week.

At some point between Tuesday and Wednesday lead has been stolen from part of Great Yarmouth High School’s roof.

Caister Infant School, North Denes Primary School and Great Yarmouth Primary Academy have also been hit.

Ch Insp Nathan Clark said he wanted to reassure the public police were doing everything within their power to identify the offenders.

He added: “Schools are often left unoccupied at evenings and during the weekend I would like to encourage the local communities to be on the lookout for any suspicious behaviour.”

If you spot anything unusual police have said to call 999 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
