Five men tried to escape police after a burglary by driving nearly 50 miles across the Norfolk border.
Norfolk Police worked with Bury St Edmunds Police to track two vehicles after a suspected burglary in Great Yarmouth on Wednesday, October 10 at around midnight.
Officers gave commentary on the location of the vehicles, which meant colleagues further ahead were able to form a plan and stop them.
Police were able to recover property believed to have been stolen, seize the two vehicles and arrest the five men on the A14 in Suffolk.
On Twitter, Bury St Edmunds Police thanked all the teams involved.
It tweeted: “Five men arrested, two vehicles seized, and property recovered on the #A14 overnight following a burglary in Norfolk. @NSRAPT @PoliceStow @BuryStEdsPolice and @NSPoliceDogs working together to hand everything over to @NorfolkPolice.”
South Norfolk Police said that the operation was an “excellent piece of cross border team work.”
