The family of a popular cyclist who was killed in a crash at Swannington have today issued an emotional appeal for anyone with information about the crash to come forward.

Sze-Ming Cheung, 44, was cycling on Reepham Road in Swannington, near Reepham, when he was involved in a crash with a grey Nissan Navara.

Four weeks on from the fatal crash, which happened on June 7, and his brother Jack, 42, has made an emotional plea for information from the public about the crash.

Jack together with his brother Dick, also 42, and mother Wai-Hing, 70, of Gowing Road, Hellesdon, have already paid tribute to Sze-Ming, a well-known runner, cyclist, swimmer and triathlete.

But as police issue a new plea to the public to trace the driver of a small black van which was driving along the stretch of road at the time of the crash, Jack has called on the public to help police solve the case.

He said: 'We just want justice as soon as possible.

'Just to say from the whole Cheung family, if anyone has any information, please come forward.

'We just want the investigation dealt with as soon as possible, we're still grieving.'

Jack, whose family run the Chung Hing Chinese restaurant on Reepham Road, said it was still 'heart-breaking every day' being without Sze-Ming.

Following investigations officers now believe a second vehicle was involved in the incident and have released a CCTV clip. It shows a dark coloured van travelling on Reepham Road near to the scene of the crash on the day of the incident and officers are keen to trace the vehicle and driver.

Detective Inspector Chris Hinitt from the Roads Policing Unit said: 'Following our investigations we believe this vehicle was involved in the collision but failed to stop at the scene. I would therefore urge anyone who recognises the vehicle to come forward. Equally, I would like to take this opportunity to appeal directly to the driver to do the right thing and come forward.'

The driver of the Nissan, a 55-year-old from the Reepham area, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has since been released under investigation.

Any witnesses to the collision or anyone with information should contact the Serious Collision Investigation Team at Wymondham on 101.
