Shop workers have been urged to be on their guard after fake £20 notes to found in a coastal town.

Norfolk Police said arrested two men from outside the county earlier this week in connection with the counterfeit bank notes found in Hunstanton town centre.

King’s Lynn Police Tweeted: “Retailers please be aware.”

It comes amid warnings of fraudulent notes being passed off as the real thing in Southwold, Halesworth, Bungay and Harleston.

The Break Charity shop in Bungay and the British Heart Foundation in Beccles were given fake £20 notes on Monday, March 26.
