The second Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) elections take place on Thursday May 5.
The PCC was first elected in November 2012 in order to hold the chief constable and the force to account and to try to make the police more answerable to the communities they serve. But the first election had a very low voter turnout of 15pc.
