A conservatories boss has admitted two offences of unfair trading after his company went bust.

Jonathan Knights, 58, the owner and director of Conservatories Etc in Wymondham, also faced a charge of running the company fraudulently between December 2018 and May 2019 which he denied.

The case was listed at Norwich Crown Court on Tuesday (May 12) in front of Judge Katharine Moore.

The first offence he admitted related to the company’s failure to obtain the necessary building regulations for conservatories between October 20 2016 and January 25 2019.

The second offence was for the company continuing to trade from December 2018 even though it was known to be insolvent.

He pleaded not guilty to another offence of fraudulent trading. This offence will lie on file, meaning no verdict will be recorded against Knights.

Knights, of Allison Bank, Norwich, is to be sentenced at Norwich Crown Court on August 21.

The case was brought by Norfolk County Council Trading Standards.
