Police called to ‘intoxicated’ bus passenger

Police were called to deal with an “intoxicated” man on a bus, before he was taken to hospital.

The incident happened at Hunstanton this afternoon. Operator Lynxbus tweeted: "Service 34 - The 12.20 from Hunstanton to Lynn is currently held in Hunstanton awaiting the police due to a drugged passenger refusing to leave the bus. We will start the journey from the QEH to Lynn bus station at 1301. Apologies."
A police spokesman said officers were called to reports of an intoxicated male at the bus station at 12.20pm.

"Police attended and called the ambulance because the man needed treatment," she said.

The man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. The bus has now resumed its journey.
