A police officer suffered leg injuries after being attacked by a drink driver.
The officer from the King’s Lynn team was “repeatedly kicked” by a woman who was more than three times over the legal limit yesterday, according to Norfolk Police.
On Twitter, King’s Lynn Police said: “Officer assaulted tonight by a female drink driver who blew 118. Female repeatedly kicked the officer and had to have leg restraints put on her! Thank you to the public who reported her. Officer is thankfully OK.”
The legal alcohol limit for drivers in England, Wales and Northern Ireland is 35 micrograms of alcohol for every 100 millilitres of breath.
