A Great Yarmouth driver has been charged with a string of offences after being caught doing almost double the speed limit.
Sergeant Chris Harris, from Norfolk police, said a driver had been stopped on Pasteur Road at 9.15pm on Sunday night after being caught doing 59mph in a 30mph zone.
The vehicle failed to stop, he said, swerving around a police officer on foot.
The car was seized for enquiries.
Sgt Harris later confirmed the driver had been charged with careless driving, failing to stop for a constable, excess speed, driving without a licence and driving without insurance.
