A young driver has been stopped on the A11 after travelling at 121mph and allegedly providing a positive drug test.

Roads policing unit Reedy posted the video on Tuesday evening after stopping the driver, aged 20, at Wymondham.

He said he had been stopped for excess speed after doing 107 to 121mph on the road between Attleborough and Wymondham with two teenage passengers in the car.

He said the driver had also provided a positive drug wipe for cannabis.

The officer said it was “so disappointing”, and that the driver had been taken into custody.

He said the driver, who passed his test less than two years ago, was upset and had realised “his life is just going to disappear”.
