A police officer caught drink driving could face further disciplinary action at a hearing next week.

The officer, who has been granted anonymity by the chairman of a special case hearing, will attend a private meeting at Cambridgeshire Police’s Hinchingbrooke Park headquarters in Huntingdon on Friday, February 9.

It follows the officer’s conviction on Thursday, January 4 of driving with excess alcohol, failing to stop for police and driving without due care and attention.

The charges related to an incident in Northamptonshire on December 16 last year, when the officer was off duty.

It is alleged that the officer has breached the Cambridgeshire police’s standards of professional behaviour in respect of discreditable conduct.
