Police pulled over a suspected drink driver - and found him three times the limit.

Officers swooped on a silver Mercedes hatchback in a terrace street on the Norfolk - Cambridgeshire border this morning.

As well as being well-oiled, they also found the man was driving with a license or insurance.

One tweeted: “Male in his 40s arrested this morning for drink driving, driving without a licence and driving without insurance following a stop on the Cambs/Norfolk border. He managed to blow three times over the limit at 11am.”
The man is now in a cell at King’s Lynn Police Investigation Centre. The car has been seized.

Also in the cells first thing today were another man arrested for being over the limit, having no licence and possessing suspected counterfeit currency, and a woman arrested for stealing meat from a supermarket in Hunstanton.
